Terms & Conditions

1. The Promoter

The promoter of this competition is Maxtec Peripherals (Pty) Ltd, a cybersecurity distributor based in South Africa.

2. The Competition

The Cyber IQ Challenge is an online quiz hosted by Maxtec during Cybersecurity Awareness Month (October 2025).

Participants who achieve a score of 80% or higher will automatically be entered into a lucky draw for a chance to win one of five Maxtec hampers.

3. Eligibility

• Participants must follow the Maxtec LinkedIn page to qualify for the draw. Follow us here

• The competition is open to residents of SADC countries aged 18 years or older.

• Employees of Maxtec, its subsidiaries, distributors, suppliers, and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter or win prizes.

• Each individual may only enter the quiz once. Duplicate or fraudulent entries will be disqualified.

4. How to Enter

• Complete the Cyber IQ Challenge quiz via the official Maxtec landing page.

• Provide your name and email address to submit your entry.

• Only participants who achieve a score of 80% or higher will qualify for the lucky draw.

5. Prizes

• There are 5 Maxtec hampers to be won.

• Winners will be randomly selected from all eligible entries through a lucky draw.

• Winners will be announced in Maxtec’s Cyber IQ podcast at the end of October 2025 and notified directly by email.

• Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash.

6. Data Protection & Privacy

• Personal information submitted through the quiz (name and email address) will be processed in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

• Your details will only be used for the purpose of administering the competition and, if you consent, to receive communications from Maxtec.

• You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by following the unsubscribe link in our emails.

7. General Conditions

• By entering, participants agree to these Terms & Conditions.

• Maxtec reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entries and to disqualify any that are incomplete, inaccurate, or violate these terms.

• Maxtec reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the competition should circumstances arise beyond its reasonable control.

• The outcome of the lucky draw will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding results.

8. Liability

Maxtec, its employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from participation in the competition or from acceptance of any prize.
